My Fair Lady - the Musical

Direct from London, the world famous musical MY FAIR LADY presented by RHB Bank was staged in Malaysia for a strictly limited season from 15 – 20 May 2007 at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Brought to Malaysia by Yvents!, MY FAIR LADY – The Musical provided an evening of laughter and song and first-class entertainment. It followed the well-known story of a London Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle who was transformed into a society Lady by the eminent Professor Higgins, a teacher of the English Language. With music and lyrics by Lerner & Loewe, the show featured such well known songs including; ‘Wouldn’t it be Loverly?’, ‘With a little bit of Luck’, ‘The Rain in Spain’, ‘I Could Have Danced all Night’, ‘On the Street where you Live’ and ‘Get me to the Church on Time’.
MY FAIR LADY The Musical takes its inspiration from George Bernard Shaw’s famous play ‘Pygmalion’ and was made into an Oscar-winning film in 1964 starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison. The show ran on Broadway for nearly 3000 performances starring Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison and Stanley Holloway. It was the longest running musical at the time. MY FAIR LADY has won a multitude of awards and is one of the best musicals of all time.
This new production came to Malaysia with a leading cast from the London musical stage in a glamorous new staging.
